In an attempt to strengthen relationships with local farmers and provide personalised guidance, ARTOLIO's marketing team has conducted field visits in Thessaloniki and Halkidiki between the 24th and the 29th July 2023. During these visits, face-to-face training sessions were conducted, allowing the team to get to know each farmer on an individual level and understand their specific needs.

The first sessions were held at Agriston, an olive mill participating in the ARTOLIO project, where several farmers attended. During these sessions, a number of issues were addressed, including those related to olive variety. The ARTOLIO team was able to provide detailed and strategic advice on a case-by-case basis.

In Halkidiki, the team had the opportunity to meet two groups of farmers with different realities: those who bottle their production and those who sell in bulk. This visit allowed the ARTOLIO team to develop differentiating marketing strategies that are adapted to the needs and realities of each group.

The highlight of these visits was the dedication and personal commitment of Jesús F. Gordillo, ARTOLIO's marketing manager, who delivered the sessions. In addition, these visits were an excellent opportunity for the team to immerse themselves in Greek culture.

These marketing visits, carried out without prior preparation to ensure a precise response adapted to the real needs of each farmer, have been a resounding success. They have allowed ARTOLIO to learn first-hand about the realities of the farmers they work with, and have reinforced their commitment to personalised support and strategic guidance.
