The MENAWARA project Italian case study (located in Arborea, Sardinia) is related to the use of non-conventional water to reduce the nitrate groundwater concentration, due to agricultural and livestock farming activities. These activities involve the entire local community, and make Arborea the most important agricultural district in Sardinia and one of the main in the Mediterranean. So the pollution of the aquifer, as well as being an ecological problem, involves great costs in trying to solve the problem.

The coordinator of the DECOST activities in Jordan, Professor Munir Rusan from the Jordanian University of Science and Technology, explains in Jordan TV the DECOST pilot in Jordan and the main objectives of the project. 

Spain shows several differences with regard to the water inputs and water demands distribution from the north to the south. In this last area, as a consequence of proper climate features and the growth of densely populated urban areas, agricultural, urban and industrial water demands have exceeded greatly the natural available water inputs.

MENAWARA supports rural communities of Palestine in the challenge of water resources efficiency

The complex political situation in Palestine makes the challenge of water resource efficiency particularly important.

MENAWARA project aims to improve the quality of treated wastewater and increase its use in agriculture thus reducing the pressure on fresh water, increasing income of rural communities in Palestine making them more prosperous and less vulnerable.

Tunisia is among the driest countries in Africa and is characterized by limited water resources. The demand for irrigation is 84% of the total water allowances, making agriculture by far the largest water consumer. In addition, the demand for water for the domestic, industrial and tourist needs continues to increase.

GreenBuilding e-tool is an electronic platform and application for smartphones/tablets that allows the interconnection with energy measuring devices which will be installed during the energy interventions in the buildings together with the overall refurbishment actions. E-tool main objective is the monitoring of the energy status of GreenBuilding pilot buildings.
