Municipality of Prato, an active partner of INNOMED-UP project from Italy, delivered an intensive technical training for the interested Cultural & Creative (CCIs) SMEs to build their capacities to adopt best practices of Circular Economy empathizing on the fact that Circular Economy is the biggest social revolution of the contemporary age. We can revolutionize good production and planning, leaving a positive impact on our system.

The 1st INNOMED-UP conference was held online on the 15^th February 2021, reviewing the results achieved by the project in the first year of activities since its start in 2019.

In Al-auja there were high cultivations of banana and citrus until 1998, but large fruit and vegetable cultivation required a high amount of water. When the water stopped flouring years ago, there was an agricultural crisis in the area that obliged farmers to change their cultivation. The farmers had to deal with water scarcity and with its high salinity. Since palm trees don’t need high amounts of water, they concentrated their efforts and water resources on date cultivation. 

The Palestinian Wastewater Engineers Group (PWEG) partner of MEDWAYCAP made a reflection on the complex situation of Palestine.

INNOMED-UP project promotes the Circular Economy practices among the Cultural & Creative Industries (CCIs) SMEs instead of the linear economy, as a tool to promote green practices, save resources and improve the production and income of these SMEs.

In order to do so, the project provide technical and financial support and connect these SMEs with the relevant authorities and stakeholders to ensure modifying the legislation to support this category.

Ayman is one of the beneficiaries of INNOMED-UP project in Jordan who has been motivated by the knowledge and technical support he got through the project and opened a shop in the middle of Irbid city to exhibit his innovative products.
