Voler Bene all’Italia”: from May 28 to June 5, the Legambiente initiative dedicated to small municipalities returns. Ten “symbol” squares of this 18th edition to tell the current ecological and digital transition in Italy.

One of this “symbol” square at Italian level is the municipality of Ferla: they were pioneers in many environmental sectors as waste management, and now they are among the first at Italian level to adopt innovative approaches and solutions in the fields of energy and water management. In fact, they became an “energy community” and, thanks to the NAWAMED project, they are installing the innovative green wall to reuse greywater.

The 30 of May Ferla will host this event involving several actors who contributed to make Ferla an example for all in constant synergy with the municipality. For the Nawamed project Barbara Sarnari, Svimed – Euro-Mediterranean Center for Sustainable Development, will talk about the green wall that will be installed in the school “Valle dell’Anapo”. This system, drafted by Iridra, the technical partner of Nawamed, will allow to treat and reuse about 300 mc/year of water to be reused for flushing toilets, reducing, at school level, at least the 30% of the use of potable water for secondary use.

The event will be the occasion also to enhance the network for future NAWAMED activities aiming at upscaling and mainstreaming the proposed solutions, with regional key actors as the other involved municipalities, Legambiente and the invited competent authorities on the several environmental related sectors.
