Last week, the INVESTMED project held three coordination meetings for its entrepreneurs selected under the call for subgrants. INVESTMED aims to support young and women entrepreneurs to launch their businesses in the green economy, blue economy, and the cultural and creative industries. Under this initiative, the project has selected 38 entrepreneurs to build their businesses in Egypt, Lebanon, and Tunisia and is providing them support through three selected Business Support Organisations who will mentor and guide them. 

The hybrid coordination meetings had the aim of presenting the 38 entrepreneurs with all the necessary information they need to effectively carry out the subgrant implementation and their business plans. This included administrative and financial details as well as how they will be supported by their BSOs setting out the roadmap for the upcoming months of the project. 

The session for Egypt took place on the 3rd of April 2023 with BSO Ice Alex, supported by local partner in Egypt, the Confederation of Egyptian European Business Associations (CEEBA).

The session for Tunisia took place on the 5th of April 2023 with BSO Westerwelle Startup Haus Tunis, supported by the INVESTMED project co-ordinator based in Tunisia, BUSINESSMED (Union of Mediterranean Confederations of Enterprises). 

The session for Lebanon took place on the 6th of April 2023 with BSO, Fondation Diane, supported by local partner in Lebanon, Beyond Group.

The INVESTMED project is co-funded by the European Union under the ENI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme 2014-2020. INVESTMED has a duration of 30 months, with a total budget of 3.8 million euros, of which 3.4 million euros are funded by the European Union (90%). It involves 8 partners from Tunisia, Spain, Lebanon, Greece, Egypt, and Italy:
