The city of Prato in central Italy is another INNOMED-UP project pilot area. Municipality of Prato is our partner in INNOMED-UP project and responsible for the implementation of the project activities in the area.

This city has a population of 195,089 and is considered the second largest city in Tuscany as well as the third in central Italy. Prato is widely known for its textile industry, the first ones in Europe to promote sustainability and circularity.

Today many disused industrial firms have become places of culture and creative industries.
