Med4Waste launches a mentoring voucher scheme for municipalities to improve waste management plans

If you are representing Jordanian, Lebanese or Tunisian sub-national authorities working on Waste Management, join our webinar to develop or improve your integrated waste management plan and learn from waste management good practices being implemented in the Mediterranean.

NAME: Opportunity: Financing the development or improvement of Integrated Municipal Waste Management Plans

DATE: 30th of November 2022 from 11.30 to 13h CET

DESCRIPTION OF THE MENTORING VOUCHER:

Med4Waste project aims at facilitating new governance models for integrated and efficient urban waste management policies across the Mediterranean region. With this objective, on next 30th of November, the project is launching a call for expression of interest. The call targets Jordanian, Lebanese and Tunisian sub-national authorities that want to participate in a mentoring scheme focusing on the enhancement of their waste management system and the transfer of tested experiences from ENI capitalised projects.

Through this mentoring scheme, Med4Waste will provide guidance and technical support to six sub-national public authorities in charge of planning and managing waste in the Mediterranean in order to:

  1. improve or develop their integrated municipal waste management (IMWM) plan.
  2. exchange first-hand knowledge with a city that has implemented a method/tool/activity to enhance its waste management system.
  3. implement a tailor-made supporting action aligned with their IMWM plan.

DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:

During the event, participants will get an overview of the benefits that they could obtain by taking part in the Med4Waste mentoring voucher. We will talk about the activities it will include, their associated budget, the final outcomes of the scheme and the good practices that have been implemented in different Mediterranean cities and from which they will learn during the mentoring voucher.

We will also explain how public sub-national authorities can apply to be part of the mentoring voucher and solve doubts from the participants.
