  • Specifically, during the 2-day workshop the following topics will be tackled:

  • beeswax for simple cosmetics, decorations and unique gifts,
  • healing properties and cosmetics with propolis, bee venom and pollen, and finally
  • royal jelly: healing properties and cosmetology.

The workshop will also have an interactive part for those who would like to try their hand and put into practice what has been discussed: a workshop for the creation of facial scrubs with honey.

All these activities are part of the project "Mediterranean Bee Hubs in support for sustainable economic prosperity in deprived rural areas" (MedBEESinessHubs), co-financed by the European Union ENI CBC MED Programme with the duration of  24 -months.

With this initiative, it is intended to start precisely from the beekeeping sector to offer the Mediterranean rural economies an opportunity for redevelopment, linking the clusters of five countries - Cyprus, Egypt, Lebanon, Palestine and Italy.

The latter in particular involves Sardinia through the Chamber of Arab – Italian Cooperation Chamber, which has chosen the island itself as the geographical focus area of this important project.
