From the 26-30 of September 2022, under the theme “Going green and digital for Europe’s energy transition”, the European Sustainable Energy Week conference was held in Brussels, and online!

The European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is an annual event for energy launched by the European Commission, aims to raise awareness about energy efficiency, renewable energy and the links between energy use and climate change. It was dedicated to renewables and efficient energy use, for creating a secure energy future.

ESMES and other projects under the ENI CBC Med Programme have been selected to participate in the 2022 edition of the EUSEW.

ESMES partner in Jordan; the project coordinator at the German Jordanian University, Dr. Osama Saadeh has shared remotely their experience in the Data Acquisition Systems, whereby the schools were equipped with smart meters to track real-time energy consumption and behaviour.

In addition, the online platform will serve as a communication tool where partners and stakeholders in the countries involved in the project can exchange information on achieved outcomes, present challenges faced in schools, learn from experiences shared by other schools, and take inspiration to overcome similar difficulties or improve their energy management practices and behaviours.
