YEP MED in Italy plans the next training and the launch of the call for proposal foreseen in autumn in the port sector

About 18 months have passed since the start of YEP MED project and the Italian partner in Civitavecchia is proceeding swiftly toward achieving the set results that aim to motivate employment in the logistics-port sector through specialized training focused on young people and women.

After the successful completion of the "Vocational Training" that was attended by 53 students from two famous institutions  in Italy (Higher Technical Institute MO.ST. (Sustainable Mobility) of Ortona and the Higher Institute of Technology of the Sea “G. Caboto "GLIPS2 (Management of Integrated Logistics and Shipping Processes) along with the Port System Authority of the North Central Tyrrhenian Sea, the Italian partner.

The project is now planning its second edition of the "Occupational Training" with the call for proposals having as objective the training in the field of international shipments and, specifically, the management of the administrative processes of shipments, including customs procedures to be published in September and the course that presumably should start in October 2022.

As a whole, the YEP MED project, now halfway through, is proving to be a great added value for the various port communities, aligning the needs of the sector with training, providing an innovative methodology for training future workers and inviting cooperation between people, communities and countries in the Mediterranean.
