NAWAMED - Decision maker workshop in Tunis to discuss new and possible amendments to foster the promotion of rainwater and grey water uses at urban level

Local regulations and urban planning tools to foster Non-Conventional Water (NCW) reuse will be the subject of “Decision Makers workshop” organized in Tunis on March 8th 2022 by the Centre for Water Research and Technologies (CERTE). During the workshop new and possible amendments of national/local regulations and urban planning tools will be discussed in order to foster the promotion of rainwater and grey water uses at urban level. A specific focus will be devoted to the local legal frame.

Participants will also work on urban planning measures to promote the application of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) for NCW uses. Each session will start with an introductive presentation followed by a "round table" discussion with a facilitator on how to take into consideration the identified proposals and what is the expected impact on the promotion of NCW uses.

At the end of the meeting, a set of conclusions and recommendations will be reported. The event will be developed in French language.
