CROSSDEV in Aqaba (Jordan) awards certificates to local trainees on tourism

Within the scopes of the CROSSDEV project, partner The Royal Marine Conservation Society of Jordan (JREDS) has recently completed a training program in English for Tourism, Communication and Soft Skills, Best Practices for Archaeological Tours, Photography for Tourism, Marketing and social media, Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality. The 12 trainees were selected among locals with an interest in different tourist sectors in the Aqaba area: youth, students, service providers and public officers.

The training aimed on one side to improve specific skills and knowledge of tourism service providers and managers, and on the other side to raise awareness about sustainable tourism and valorization practices of cultural / historical heritage.

Having completed the training, JREDS, in cooperation with project’s associated partners Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), the Department of Antiquities, and the Directorate of Tourism in Aqaba will hold an official ceremony to distribute certificates to the trainees who successfully completed all training requirements.
