MedRiSSE Kick Off meeting: working together for social innovations in the post-covid recovery

MedRiSSE capitalization project "Replicable innovations of the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) in the provision of services and the creation of decent jobs in the recovery after the post-covid crisis" welcomes the world and its partners, through this kick-off meeting, on 9 and 10 November 2021, at the BiciHub Can Picó in Barcelona.

This intensive two days face to face work session between the partner entities serves as a presentation of this european project, in the framework of the Mediterranean Day. The main objective of the project is to lay the foundations for replicating innovative models of service provision and the creation of decent work, within the social and solidarity economy, in the Mediterranean Basin. 

Speakers of the opening session to give context to the project, include: Ms. Joumana Sweiss, Programme Officer at the Branch office of ENI CBC Med Programme ; Ms. Anna Dorangricchia, from the Social and Civil Affairs Area of the Union for the Mediterranean; Mr. Paco Hernández, founding member of the Solidarity Economy Network (XES); and Mr. José María Ruibérriz de Torres López, Focal Point for Social and Solidarity Economy at ACPP.

MedRiSSE is a cooperation project funded by the European Union under the European Neighbourhood Instrument for cross-border cooperation, in the framework of the Mediterranean Basin Programme 2014-2020 (ENI CBC Med). It involves 8 partners and 7 associated entities, from 5 countries (Spain, Italy, Palestine, Jordan and Tunisia) with a total budget of 1.1 million euros (90% programme contribution) and an estimated duration of 24 months, until September 2023.
