Spain: STAND Up! arrives at TecnoCampus Center in Mataró with entrepreneurs from the textile and circular fashion industry

STAND Up! will land next Tuesday 28th September at the Congress and Meeting Centre of the TecnoCampus of Mataró (Barcelona). The event will bring together more than 40 entrepreneurs, including start-ups who are launching sustainable business projects in the textile and fashion sector, and textile industrialists.

Organised by the Spanish Confederation of Textile Industry (Texfor), the incubator Reimagine Textile, and the Regional Activity Centre for Sustainable Production and Consumption (SCP / RAC), adjacent to the Waste Agency of Catalonia, the meeting will offer a networking space for young project participants who have received support to develop their business idea.

The agenda will kick off with business introductions to the stakeholders audience by the companies involved in the STAND UP! project, SCP/RAC (Lead Partner) and TEXFOR as well as Reimagine Textile followed by the presentations of the two mentors in charge of running the incubation; Txell Costa from the Txell Costa Group, a national and international marketing and sales consultant with more than 15 years of experience and Sharam Yalda, circular economy business consultancy from Human Nation, with a long track  record specializing in regenerative and disruptive models.

Along the event there will be a space for face-to-face meetings between the different attendees to exchange ideas, knowledge and, in short, to create synergies between projects that share the same objective: to reduce the negative impact that the conventional textile industry can have on the environment by creating sustainable start-ups that are committed to the recycling of textiles and the treatment of fibres without using chemical pollutants. The complete agenda of the event is available here.
