The Municipality of Jounieh, Lebanon is hiring a senior technical expert and a junior technical expert under the strategic project SOLE ("High Energy Efficiency for the Public Stock Buildings in Mediterranean"). 

Deadline for applications is October, 24th.

Please find below the positions description and requested qualifications. 

SENIOR TECHNICAL EXPERT

Main responsabilities

• To assess the market dimension with reference to energy efficiency and renewable energy services and potential supply and trends
• To map and monitor the energy rehabilitation (Pilot Case) that can be introduced in the Country in two sectors: energy and water
• To manage the detailed design of the Pilot case and to supervise the implementation of the consultancy and engineering services of the Pilot case
• To monitor and evaluate the performance of the installed technology

Qualifications and skills

• A Master's Degree in Engineering (mechanical or civil), PhD is a plus

Professional experience

• At least 5 years of general professional experience in Energy related projects;
• At least 5 years of proven experience in working with academia/research institutions in middle income countries;
• At least 2 years of experience with international organizations;
• Excellent knowledge of English

JUNIOR TECHNICAL EXPERT

• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Architecture, Master Degree is a plus

• At least 2 years of general professional experience in Energy related projects;
• At least 2 years of proven experience in working with academia/research institutions in middle income countries;
• Excellent knowledge of English

About the SOLE project
The building sector is the largest energy consumer in the Mediterranean area. Most buildings are energy inefficient as lack of interventions over time have led to increasing annual energy consumption and CO2 emissions. SOLE “High Energy Efficiency for the Public Stock Buildings in Mediterranean” aims to foster cost-effective and innovative energy rehabilitations of public buildings.
