Our Italian partner Fondazione di Comunità di Messina is launching a call for applications for green ventures in the context of the EU-funded GIMED project, under the ENI CBC Med Programme.

The aim of this call is to select 20 ventures to which the Fondazione di Comunita di Messina will provide a free business support training including services such as coaching and access to finance, in order to strengthen their social and environmental performance.

The selected subjects will have access to a free course that includes training on sustainable entrepreneurship issues and personalized coaching, which will accompany them in strengthening entrepreneurial activity and in finding the necessary financial resources. The path will provide all participants with opportunities for meeting and training, opportunities for professional contacts and exchange of experiences, the possibility of accessing a microcredit service, involvement in an international network of entrepreneurs who promote a culture oriented towards environmental sustainability and social justice.

Who can apply?

Businesses at different stages of development can apply:

- Businesses that produce products or services capable of generating clear social and environmental impacts and that are still at an early stage of their life, that is, they already have customers and revenues, but have not necessarily achieved full economic sustainability.

- or existing businesses that wish to adapt their product/service from a more environmental and social perspective.

How does the journey look like?

The course consists of a 10-days first frontal training, focused on: analysis and structure of sustainable business models from a social and environmental point of view, eco-innovation and eco-design, access to markets, access to finance.

At the end of the training, the companies with the greatest development potential will be selected to access the next phase of personalized coaching to implement the strategies presented during the training.

In addition, the best companies that complete the training and coaching course will enter a pitching event that will give them the opportunity to win a grant of € 7,500, which can be used to support the development of the company.
