Apitourism workshops by the MedBEESinessHubs team in Cyprus

Apitourism, also known as Bee tourism, is a type of sustainable tourism that focuses on beekeeping and the exploration of the world of bees. It is a relatively new trend in tourism that aims to promote the conservation of bees and their habitats while also providing an educational and interactive experience for tourists.

The MedBEESinessHubs team from Cyprus is organising on 3rd and 10th May 2023 two workshops dedicated on Apitourism in Ora. The aim is to support local bee businesses diversify and benefit from what the sustainable form of Bee tourism can offer, particularly to rural communities.

The workshops are addressed to:

• beekeeping establishments,
• agrotourism establishments,
• businesses from the HORECA industry,
• local authorities,
• travel operators, and
• other tourism stakeholders
