The first INVESTMED sub-grants Information Day presented full details of the funding available for Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs), and clarified questions of eligibility from over 40 participants. It was hosted jointly by the European Institute for the Mediterranean (IEMed), the Union of Mediterranean Confederations of Enterprises (BUSINESSMED), and the Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association (EMEA).

The EU-funded INVESTMED project aims to support new, sustainable businesses in the Southern Mediterranean, with a particular focus on those with young people and/or women in management positions. At least 36 subgrants will be awarded to innovative MSMEs, start-ups and newly established companies in Egypt, Lebanon and Tunisia.

The sub-granting scheme, coordinated by IEMed, also offers direct financial support to Business Support Organisations (BSOs) in the three target countries. Applications are now open to both BSOs and MSMEs – full details and eligibility criteria can be found at the websites below.
