REUSEMED survey shows that nearly two out of three residents of New Deir Alla (Jordan) buy second-hand goods
The habit of buying second-hand items is widespread in the municipality of New Deir Alla, in the northwest of Jordan, although many of its citizens demand more facilities for the purchase and sale of this type of objects. This is the main conclusion of a research conducted by REUSEMED to study reuse habits in different communities and locations in the Mediterranean basin.

On the 3rd and 4th of November, the Cyprus Institute hosted the 5th BEEP project partners' meeting which, fortunately, could be held in person on this occasion. The meeting was attended by the 8 entities participating in the project from 7 Mediterranean countries: Italy, Spain, Cyprus, Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt.
The BEEP project partners were welcomed by Salvatore Carlucci, Head of the Sustainable Built Environment of the Cyprus Institute, who also conducted a guided tour of the Institute's headquarters in the afternoon.

Palestine: Community composting implemented by DECOST project in the municipality of Anabta is rapidly expanding
Amongst the progress of the DECOST pilot implementation in Palestine, a team from the Polytechnical University Kadoorie (PTUK) is carrying out visits to the users of the new composting system. These last month the team has been visiting participants from the area of Al-Sahel, in Anabta, where the new decentralized composting systems are installed.
