The EU-funded INVESTMED Project aims to break down barriers blocking successful, sustainable entrepreneurship in key sectors in Southern Mediterranean countries. To this end, the project offers direct financial support to high-potential entrepreneurs and start-ups in Egypt, Lebanon and Tunisia.

Applications for this funding were opened last year, and the top proposals from each country, as assessed by expert external evaluators, were invited to pitch their business idea to an international panel of judges composed of project partners and local and European experts. 

In the last three years, we have been working to support the development of cooperation mechanisms between social economy actors and public administration for more effective welfare services and initiatives to enhance the social and employment inclusion of vulnerable groups.

Within the framework of the PPI4MED project, the National Agency for the Promotion of Scientific Research (ANPR) in Tunisia is launching two calls for expressions of interest to broaden participation in the national Public Procurement Innovation (PPI) Living Lab intended for researchers and innovators as well as companies in the water and/or energy sectors.

On the 12^th of July 2022, the Greek U-SOLVE Urban Hub has been inaugurated. The Sustainable Development Goals Hub is hosted in the JOIST Innovation Park at Larissa and will be the meeting point between the local community and the Greek innovative entrepreneurial ecosystem.
