NAWAMED showcases to professionals the greywater treatment system installed in the school of Ferla, Sicily

More than a dozen professionals among architects, engineers, agronomists and policymakers from the entire Sicily Island gathered in Ferla (Syracuse) on May 10th to participate in the first of many NAWAMED "school camps" to showcase how greywater can be collected, treated and reused.

MED-InA en Tunisie : Debrasy, un projet d’inclusion sociale par le tri des déchets

Focus sur le projet Debrasy, une entreprise de collecte de déchets recyclables qui vise à alléger le fardeau des collecteurs de déchets indépendants, appelés Berbecha en Tunisie, en améliorant leurs conditions de travail et en convertissant les plus vulnérables d'entre eux pour qu'ils effectuent des services d'aide à la communauté tels que planter des arbres et s'occuper des animaux de la rue.

MED-InA en Tunisie : Vitro, une seconde vie pour les déchets en verre

Focus sur le projet Vitro, une nouvelle façon de penser le recyclage du verre. Dans une mini station de traitement, le verre collecté est transformé en farine de verre, grâce à notre mini broyeur Vitro. Facile à transporter, la farine de verre est bien plus efficace que le sable dans les filtres à eau de piscines ou bassins et remplace les agrégats dans les mortiers de ciment ou les peintures.

CEOMED published a scientific article about the potential of waste management processes in fruit and vegetables markets in Jordan and Tunisia

We are pleased to announce that our colleagues from the University of Naples Federico II in Italy, in collaboration with the Democritus University of Thrace, Greece, the University of Jordan, the Centre of Biotechnology of Sfax in Tunisia and the CSIC (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones científica in Spain), published an interesting article about the potential of Biochemical methane from the wholesale markets in the Anaerobic digestion production as a waste management process.
