One of the root causes of marine litter in the Mediterranean is poor municipal waste management practices and Med4Waste signalled this message during this conference.

More than 11 people partcipated in the event which featured an evaluation of seven compelling ideas by a professional committee. 5 awardees will receive a 10 000 €grant each.

A total of 63 participants took part in these activities, and there was significant representation from 36 women and 42 young individuals.
