Development of green business models in the textile and fashion industry, support to small producers of extra-virgin olive oil, digitization of UNESCO Mediterranean heritage sites, professionalization of young people and women in the blue, green and digital economy, application of circular economy principles in the construction sector: these are of some challenges addressed by the 23 ongoing strategic projects.

With an investment of €72 million in EU funding and a total budget worth €80 million, these projects gather 206 actors from the eligible territories of the 13 countries participating in the ENI CBC Med Programme, i.e. Cyprus, Egypt, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Malta, Portugal, Palestine, Spain and Tunisia.

Strategic projects have the ambition to produce a long-lasting and far-reaching impact, by achieving tangible and replicable results that last beyond the funding of the Programme, and contribute to the development of public policies. To this end, the financial contribution per project ranges from €2.5 to €3.5 million and partnerships are composed of a minimum of 4 different eligible countries, including at least 2 EU Mediterranean Countries and 2 Mediterranean Partner Countries.

Consult now our brand new publication and discover the objectives, expected results, partners and final beneficiaries of the 23 funded strategic projects.
