OENOMED: supporting wine producers from Mediterranean Protected Areas

Description and objectives

The project aims at the concrete application in the territories of the guidelines developed by 1) the Local Charters and the MED Charter, and 2) the VAPMED brand and sub-brands

In the call for Local Charters and MED Charter, the evaluation of applications will be based on the relevance of the proposal and the reliability of the company Selected MSMEs will be monitored by the scientific partners with quality consulting services. The subsidy will be granted for the implementation of the specific intervention proposed, consistent with the Local Charter, for a maximum of €20K and to a maximum extent of 80% for each intervention. The available budget will sponsor at least 16 MSMEs distributed in the 4 countries.

In the call for VAPMED brand and sub-grants, MSMEs who already have the minimum eligibility characteristics according to the Charters, will be encouraged by the calls for proposals to launch promotional campaigns in areas of interest (advertising, exhibitions, wine tourism, participation in events, etc.). MSMEs who want to promote wines with the Designation of Origin "Protected Area Wine" or with the "MED-VAPMED Protected Area Wines" brand will be eligible.  The evaluation of applications will be based on the relevance of the proposal and the reliability of the company. The subsidy will be granted for the implementation of the specific intervention proposed, consistent with the Charters, for a maximum of € 7K and to a maximum extent of 80% for each intervention. The available budget will sponsor at least 24 MSMEs distributed in the 4 countries.

Selection criteria and award procedure

The evaluation of applications will be based on the relevance of the proposal and the reliability of the company. The selected MSMEs will be monitored by the scientific partners along with the support of external consultants. The subsidy will be granted for the implementation of the specific intervention proposed, consistent with the Local Charter.
