CROSSDEV Lectures: Developing territories and their communities

Two on line free meetings, organised by MiBACT in the framework of the CROSSDEV project,  will be the occasion to understand how, through the creation of a slow tourism itineraries, the landscape and the naturalistic values of the territory could promote its sustainable development and how the engagement activities of the local stakeholders (local operators, institutions and trade associations) are fundamental in the research path aimed at building a concrete, shared and therefore effective sustainable tourism policies.

Silvia Scozzafava, MSc, PhD, Conservation Officer at Riserva Naturale Regionale Montagne della Duchessa will introduce the Cammino Naturale dei Parchi which joins Rome to L'Aquila crossing 42 villages between Lazio and Abruzzo, inner, marginal and mountainous areas. 

Emanuela Manca, Autonomous Region of Sardinia - Department of the Environment, Environmental sustainability and information systems Service (SASI), Coordination group for the Regional Sustainable Development Strategy, will explain how information, consultation and participation activities with local communities allows to create initiatives for economic and social growth in the areas of reference.  

Two opportunities to find important ideas for actions to be carried out locally and to exchange experience with Crossdev partners and all the actors which are experimenting and developing similar initiatives in their local area.
