COMMON and Plastic Busters, first steps for strong connection
COMMON has landed in Barcelona, on the occasion of Joint Plastic Busters workshop on creating synergies for consolidating the fight against marine litter in the Mediterranean Region. The event, which was held on November 14th, aims to provide a real chance to the COMMON project and the Interreg Med Plastic Busters MPAs project, to get together and fully discover the potential for synergies towards ensuring aligned and synchronized marine litter activities throughout the Mediterranean.
A great opportunity for exchange and dialogue with key projects and organizations in order to grow the significant activities of Plastic Busters and extend its results on the impact of the marine litter also in the southern Mediterranean countries. By bringing together other key players and projects from both the North and South of the region, this workshop aims to set the basis for further operational synergies, dynamic cross-fertilization and capitalization processes in order to consolidate the fight against marine litter in the region.
The workshop follows the two-days of the 4th Steering Committee of Plastic Busters MPAs, with the objective to reflect on the progress of the project achieved so far and jointly design the next stages.
The event has been organized with the support of the Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean in the Palau de Pedralbes (Barcelona).
