The MENAWARA project Italian case study (located in Arborea, Sardinia) is related to the use of non-conventional water to reduce the nitrate groundwater concentration, due to agricultural and livestock farming activities. These activities involve the entire local community, and make Arborea the most important agricultural district in Sardinia and one of the main in the Mediterranean. So the pollution of the aquifer, as well as being an ecological problem, involves great costs in trying to solve the problem.
iHERITAGE international cooperation project selected to represent the Sicilian Region at Expo Dubai 2020
iHERITAGE was presented in the Italian Pavilion of EXPO 2020 DUBAI on January 9th and 10th, 2022, with a focus on the project's new immersive technologies (augmented reality, virtual reality, and mixed reality) that will allow visitors to experience the tangible and intangible UNESCO cultural heritage of the Mediterranean countries (Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Spain, Portugal, and Italy) in an innovative way.
