Last summer, the kids attending the summer camp group Pescatori (Fishermen) in Sestri Levante launched a new project: Radio spazzatura, that is to say Garbage radio. In a month the kids, supported by one of the volunteers from the social cooperative Il Sentiero di Arianna, realised a brand new radio show aimed to raise awareness of recycling relevance both in youngsters and adults alike.

"I’m thinking about starting a company to prepare gravies and sauces. It will be a small business in the beginning. I want my daughters to be inspired by my initiative; I want them to realise that being a woman is not a disadvantage. I discovered the world of "cooperatives" here, and I would like to work with other girls and women who have been forced to give up. I don’t want to give up anymore.

"I came back to Sicily with the desire to find a way to continue living here, with an innovative idea of economy that brings people forward. I'm lucky enough to live on a very large estate with a huge historical garden: it inspired me!"
