Energy efficiency in Mediterranean universities: start of the Med-EcoSure project

On November 21st and 22nd, 2019, the Mediterranean Renewable Energy Centre (MEDREC) hosted the kick off meeting of the Med-EcoSure (“Mediterranean University as Catalyst for Eco-Sustainable Renovation”) project in Tunis. The project is funded under ENI CBCMED Program 2014/2020 for a total amount of €2.9 million (€2.6 million as EU contribution), and with a duration of three years.

The project’s press conference in Palestine was successfully held on the 19th of December 2019 in Nablus, Palestine. The event was organized by An-Najah National University, and the Nablus Chamber of Commerce ‎and Industry .The aim of the press conference was to announce the project’s by updating the press and stakeholders about the goal of the project, planned activities, and the expected results, and to communicate project objectives, expected achievements, and opportunities.

TEC-MED project: watch summary of the kick-off meeting

The kick-off meeting  of TEC-MED project was held early November in Seville.

It was three full days of non-stop work and cooperation among the partners from Spain, Egypt, Greece, Italy, Tunisia and Lebanon. The meeting focused on planning the main steps of the project technical and financial implementation and was a great opportunity to reinforce synergies within the TEC-MED partnership.

Le 19 décembre 2019 l’Institut National des Sciences et Technologies de la Mer de Tunis lance le projet COMMON avec une réunion d’information à Monastir réunissant les autorités locales, les ONG environnementales, les scientifiques et la presse afin de présenter le projet, ses objectifs et de discuter le rôle de la coopération des différents acteurs dans le cadre de la gestion intégrée.
