The Municipality of Orbetello (Italy), Legambiente, WWF and Sei Toscana - new manager of the integrated municipal waste service - in the presence of the Forestry Unit of the Carabinieri, have started an organizational phase for the extraordinary cleaning of the Feniglia beach, a rich environmental heritage in one of COMMON project pilot areas, to be held on January 4th, 2020 and which will see the participation of the well-known Italian singer and songwriter Piero Pelù.

Energy efficiency in Mediterranean universities: start of the Med-EcoSure project
On November 21st and 22nd, 2019, the Mediterranean Renewable Energy Centre (MEDREC) hosted the kick off meeting of the Med-EcoSure (“Mediterranean University as Catalyst for Eco-Sustainable Renovation”) project in Tunis. The project is funded under ENI CBCMED Program 2014/2020 for a total amount of €2.9 million (€2.6 million as EU contribution), and with a duration of three years.

TEC-MED project: watch summary of the kick-off meeting
The kick-off meeting of TEC-MED project was held early November in Seville.
It was three full days of non-stop work and cooperation among the partners from Spain, Egypt, Greece, Italy, Tunisia and Lebanon. The meeting focused on planning the main steps of the project technical and financial implementation and was a great opportunity to reinforce synergies within the TEC-MED partnership.
