The Palestinian HELIOS team meets the local employment authority and the Society of Women Graduates in Gaza to involve young people and women in the project
On Wednesday 10th June, University College of Applied Sciences (UCAS), the Palestinian partner of HELIOS project, held two important meetings to reach and to involve young people and women in the training activities.
First of all UCAS’ HELIOS team visited the One-Stop-Shop belonging to Gaza Directorate of the Palestinian Ministry of Labor.

Sustainable tourism: MED GAIMS to award 20 grants for game development
The MED GAIMS project develops games to revolutionize the tourist site experience by gamifying it with both physical and virtual applications, thus increasing tourism flows to the destinations, and creating jobs and start-ups for game entrepreneurs.
The project applies game design to create experiences for tourists, and as a result gives a necessary competitive edge to the attractiveness of less known sites.
Presence of microplastics in fruit and vegetables: the first study with a COMMON partner
For the first time a study is able to measure the concentrations of microplastics contained in the edible part of some of the most consumed fruits and vegetables in Italy. The research was conducted by the group of the Environmental and food hygiene laboratory of the University of Catania with Mohamed Banni of the Laboratoire de Biochimie et Toxicologie Environnementale of Sousse in Tunisia, partner of COMMON project.
