Over the course of the CLIMA project, the emphasis on sorting organic waste was pivotal in enhancing solid waste management. Bickfaya, a town in Lebanon, witnessed a remarkable transformation in its waste management practices, thanks to an innovative green solution supported by the European Union under ENI CBC Med Programme.

In order to tackle the challenges facing the traditional Textile, Clothing, Footwear Leather (TCFL) sectors in the Mediterranean region, CRE@CTIVE created a network of 6 L@Bs across Egypt, Palestine, Tunisia, Italy, and Spain, each specializing in a specific field to foster growth and innovation.

Al-Sendian Association is one of the beneficiaries that cooperated with the National University College of Technology (NUCT) through the Cross-Border mentorship scheme to produce organic composting out of agricultural and organic waste to encourage local women to produce good quality of composting for their house gardens and motivate them to be self independent.

Berytech began by building the capacity of 22 teams in Lebanon over a 2-month online phase. This phase provided entrepreneurs with knowledge in green business models, access to markets, access to finance, and pitching training. Three projects were selected to continue to the next 7-month incubation phase.
