The BERLIN’s pilot buildings in Israel pave the way for the transformation of buildings into energy independent buildings. Yeelim School is the first school in Israel to become energy independent with zero emissions, with the usage of the BERLIN project technological solution of Battery Energy Storage System + Photovoltaic + Demand Side Management (BESS+PV+DSM).

A panoramic view of the University of Cagliari’s campus is presented through this interesting video that showcases all the equipment and technologies purchased to implement the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) + Photovoltaic (PV) + Demand Side Management (DSM)  solution designed and executed by the team of BERLIN project. 

BERLIN project solution achieved an impact across different communities in the Mediterranean region such as Italy, Cyprus, Greece and Israel, making the solution replicable elsewhere as well, by enabling public buildings to become energy independent and offer better quality of life for the users.
