TEX-MED ALLIANCES contributes to ensuring the production of Personal Protection Equipment in an effort to fight COVID-19 pandemic

The TEX-MED ALLIANCES project is currently working to assure the supply chain of textile sanitary materials that are highly demanded due to the COVID-19 pandemic, mapping the industrial capacities in terms of production of personal protection equipment, masks, protective gloves and glasses for medical use in the Mediterranean area.

[CROSSDEV] Local Community of the Biosphere

Two years after the founding of the Association for the Protection of Jabal Moussa (APJM), Jabal Moussa and surrounding villages were designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 2009 under the Man and Biosphere (MAB) Programme.

The MAB Programme inspired APJM to move from the classical approach to conservation, excluding people from the protected area, to a human-centered approach, inclusive of local communities.
