Call for standard projects: 92 proposals admitted to the second step of the evaluation process
The project proposals aim to foster long-lasting cooperation and joint development across borders in response to key economic, social and environmental challenges in the Euro-Mediterranean area.
During its last meeting which took place in Valencia (Spain) on 18-19 July 2018, the Joint Monitoring Committee (decision-making body of the ENI CBC Med Programme composed of the representatives of 13 participating countries) approved a list of 92 proposals recommended to the second step of the evaluation process of the call for standard projects.
Overall, 439 project proposals submitted in the framework of the call were assessed on the basis of the administrative compliance and in terms of “relevance” and “quality of design”.
The 92 recommended proposals, which value amounts to €240.96 million (the budget of the call is €84.6 million), involve 661 actors with 52% of them coming from Mediterranean Partner Countries.
Based on the 11 thematic priorities addressed by the call for projects, the 92 recommended proposals put forward concerted actions which reflect the most relevant challenges and needs of the countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea in the fields of business development, innovation, social inclusion and fight against poverty as well as environmental sustainability.
Next steps
Applicants are invited to consult the file “Call for standard projects: outcomes of STEP 1 (23.07.2018)” below which contains the results of the first step of evaluation for all proposals submitted in the call.
The applicants of the proposals admitted to step 2 will receive an email containing detailed instructions on the documents to be provided in order to perform the verification of eligibility.
In the meantime, the 92 recommended proposals will be assessed against the criteria of “operational and financial capacity”, “effectiveness”, “sustainability” and “cost-effectiveness”.
The final decision on the list of projects recommended for funding is expected in January 2019.
