Tunisie: 18 organisations locales contribuent à créer un réseau transnational d'acteurs de la microfinance

With the aim of creating transnational network of microfinance actors across the Mediterranean, MEDSt@rts project is promoting online meetings in each target area. The goal is to involve different stakeholders and to discuss the main issues related to the support to non bankable people.

In the last weeks the Sfax Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Tunisian partner of MEDSt@rts project - organised 5 online meetings on 29 April, 4 May, 8 May, 12 May and 15 May.

18 microfinance organisations participated at the meetings: Réseau entreprendre; Initiative Tunisie; APII;  CFE; Zitouna Tamkeen; Wiki Startup; Enda Tamweel; ADVANS Tunisie; Association professionnelle Tunisienne des Institutions de micro-finance "IMF"; UGFS-NA; Societe Tunisienne de Banque; Pôle de l'Etudiant de Sfax; Agence Foncière Industrielle; Centre d’Affaires de Sfax; Maxula Gestion; Microcred/Baobab Tunisia; Attijari Bank; Espace Entreprendre de Sfax.

Introducing the meetings, MEDSt@rts staff presented the project and the aim of the networking activities. After a short presentation of each organisation, the participants discussed on how to maintain a permanent dialogue through the constituting network, on how to contribute on project microfinance scheme planning and on how to foster mutual cooperation on the microfinance. Many of them have shown interest in participating in the transnational Mediterranean network.
