Between November 24 and December 30, 2020, 28 Lebanese socio-economic actors participated in a cycle of 12 events with the common goal of defining a strategy to support businesses in the national context of severe economic and social crisis and in the perspective of universal sustainability development goals.

The Chamber of Commerce Industry and Agriculture in Sidon and South Lebanon, partner of MEDSt@rts project, launched indeed a Microfinance Forum to engage local institutions, bankers, service providers and experts by offering them a series of lectures and debates about financial inclusion, business development, legal and regulatory issues.

The discussion led to the presentation of Recommendations for the strategy of financial inclusion of Micro and Small Businesses in Lebanon, a document that defines the roles of the Chamber and of the partners in the development of a New Inclusion Strategy and in pursuing a list of common strategic objectives.
