Due to the COVID19 pandemic, COMMON project is reducing its activities, postponing all events and adopting teleworking as a general measure.

As declared by Union for the Mediterranean, "the unprecedented situation created by the rapid spread of COVID-19 disease around the world, reminds us that global threats know no borders. Despite this, the collective response of our citizens has shown we possess tools of great power, more important than ever: resilience and solidarity".

All countries involved in COMMON project are affected by the pandemic, and their health condition is our first concern.

Nonetheless, from home, work continues to protect the health of our seas. The universities, bodies, NGOs and nature reserves, partners of the project, are directing their efforts to carry on COMMON activities.

We are sure that for when we do overcome this emergency, we will be more determined than before in tackling global problems such as the marine litter, through a coordinated and borderless approach.

We will  keep you updated through the website & social media.
