Brief description of the project:

In Lebanon there are random application of pesticides in fields and drainage canals.
The project aims at identifying pesticides in rivers and the sea.

Main objectives – issues to be addressed:

Sampling of river and sea drainage canals for pesticides and other pollutants.
quantification of the random pesticides families leaching into water.

Expected results:

Identification of Pesticides and pollutants reaching the sea.
Mapping of the seashore in Lebanon.
Publication of results.
Comparison with nearby countries.
